A 24-month technical capability programme.
CollectiveIS is building its service capacity through a structured training, certification and supervised-delivery programme. Qualifications are mapped to specific roles and service lines.
Capability built for delivery, not for display.
The programme separates foundation learning, role certification, vendor accreditation and practical implementation. A qualification will only be represented as completed after the relevant person has passed the required assessment and the credential has been verified. CollectiveIS does not present itself as an accredited training provider; the programme develops the company’s own delivery capability and supports client training partnerships.
- Create credible technical ownership for each service line.
- Meet vendor and partner onboarding requirements.
- Support ISO management-system implementation.
- Build incident, forensic and evidence-handling competence.
- Develop SQL Server, reporting and financial-system capability.
- Prepare personnel for supervised client delivery and SLA responsibility.
- Maintain a controlled training, certification and renewal register.
Certification tracks in the programme include ISC2, CompTIA and Microsoft security paths (such as Certified in Cybersecurity, Security+, SC-900 and the SC operations and identity tracks), Microsoft data-platform and reporting paths (such as DP-300 and Power BI), ISO implementation and auditor training, and fraud-examination and digital-forensics routes. A credential is named on this site as held only once the assessment has been passed and verified.
Five qualification pillars, used for delivery rather than display.
CollectiveIS uses qualifications strategically: to establish role competence, satisfy vendor and procurement requirements, improve governance and support controlled delivery. Progress is tracked per pillar in a credential register recording issuer, title, status, renewal requirement and approved use.
1. Financial governance and risk
Risk, governance, assurance and fraud-awareness credibility for regulated markets, through recognised professional bodies where role-appropriate.
2. Cybersecurity and privacy
Security delivery and information-governance maturity, including ISO/IEC 27001-aligned control knowledge and privacy training.
3. Financial systems and data
Implementation, reporting and support competence across SQL Server, Power BI, Crystal Reports and financial platforms.
4. Digital forensics and data lifecycle
Forensic-tool training, evidence handling and erasure-platform certification for defensible technical services and controlled evidence.
5. Service and quality management
ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 20000-1 implementation knowledge and ITIL-aligned learning for repeatable delivery and SLA governance.
| Credential category | How it is stated publicly |
|---|---|
| Completed and verified credentials | Stated as current, with issuer and scope, once verified and (for individuals) consented. |
| Qualifications in progress | Stated as in progress. Never presented as completed. |
| Planned qualifications | Stated as planned or on the roadmap. |
| Company certifications | Claimed only on issuance of a current certificate to the company itself, with the certification body and scope. |
| Individual qualifications | Belong to the person, not the company. Never converted into a company certification claim. |
| Vendor accreditations | Claimed only with a current partner agreement or official portal confirmation. |
| Supplier registrations | Claimed only with official registration or supplier-portal confirmation. |
These categories are never combined into a single generic “certified” claim.
Training for client teams.
Alongside its internal programme, CollectiveIS provides practical, role-based training to client teams as part of service engagements: end-user and administrator training for widely used financial packages such as QuickBooks, Sage and Pastel, report-author and finance-user training for Crystal Reports and Power BI, and security-awareness training for staff and executives. The company also intends to develop internships, learnerships and work-integrated learning pathways with training providers and education institutions as part of its roadmap.
Eight periods from foundation to operational readiness.
| Period | Primary focus | Representative learning path |
|---|---|---|
| Months 1–3 | Security and governance foundation | ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, Microsoft SC-900, POPIA and information-security fundamentals. |
| Months 4–6 | Core technical administration | CompTIA Security+, Microsoft identity and security modules, SQL Server administration foundation. |
| Months 7–9 | Service and quality controls | ISO 9001 implementation, ISO/IEC 27001 foundation or implementation training, service-management fundamentals. |
| Months 10–12 | Reporting and database depth | DP-300 or equivalent SQL administration path, Power BI training, Crystal Reports technical development. |
| Months 13–15 | Forensics and investigations | Digital-forensics foundation, evidence handling, forensic tools, CFE or related fraud-examination path where role-appropriate. |
| Months 16–18 | Enterprise applications | SAP learning route, Odoo certification or partner training, POS platform training and vendor onboarding. |
| Months 19–21 | Advanced governance and assurance | ISO lead implementer or auditor paths, CISA or equivalent assurance training for designated roles. |
| Months 22–24 | Operational readiness | Supervised projects, incident exercises, SLA simulations, practical assessments and role sign-off. |
Each role has a defined capability requirement.
| Role | Required capability |
|---|---|
| Cybersecurity Analyst | Security foundation, vulnerability management, identity controls, logging and incident procedures. |
| Forensic Examiner | Evidence handling, imaging, forensic tools, file-system analysis and technical reporting. |
| SQL and Reporting Specialist | SQL Server administration, backup and recovery, Crystal Reports and Power BI. |
| Financial Systems Consultant | Business process analysis, SAP or Odoo route, POS operations and data migration controls. |
| Secure Card Technician | Printer and encoder operation, stock controls, personalisation of access and identity credentials, and issuance records. |
| Service Delivery Manager | SLA management, incident, change and problem controls, reporting and client governance. |
| Quality and Information Security Lead | ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, document control, risk and corrective action. |
Training alone does not establish delivery competence.
Each technical role must complete supervised practical work, internal review and service-specific sign-off before taking independent responsibility for client work.
- Laboratory exercises and documented case simulations.
- Vendor sandbox or approved demonstration environments.
- Incident and recovery exercises.
- Report review and evidence-quality assessment.
- Client communication and escalation training.
- Annual renewal and continuing-professional-development planning.
